Eva the Engineer Syllabus
With collaboration from the schools involved, the RMRC team produced a curriculum which focused on sustainability-focused civil engineering principles including life cycle assessments, water use and water treatment, concrete, and the use of recycled materials in construction applications, while highlighting women in STEM history.
In the fall of 2017, first quarter, we taught Eva the Engineer at Badger Rock Middle School to a class of 15 young women, ranging from sixth to eighth grade. In the spring of 2018, third quarter, we taught at Toki Middle School to a class of 17 young women in seventh grade.
